IMPROVEMENT OF IMMUNIZATION PROTECTION IN EUROPE
E.A.N.A. reaffirms that immunization protection is of vital importance for the health status and draws the attention to the fact that in times of cost cutting in health care in particular this method is one of the most efficient in order to prevent diseases, epidemics and late damages.
During their meeting of 11/12 May 2012 held in Bratislava, the E.A.N.A.members decided to request that all European countries introduce uniform vaccination recommendations and thus guarantee immunization protection in every single country, provided that the financial resources allow national implementation.
Furthermore, E.A.N.A. advocates that immunization data should be retrievable, visible and included in (electronic) patient records.
E.A.N.A. recommends the following immunizations in particular:
Diphteria
Mumps
BCG (TB)
Pertussis
Hepatitis A
Pneumococcal
Hepatitis B
Poliomyelitis
Human papillomavirus (HPV)
Rotavirus
Influenza
Rubella
