DECLARATION OF ZÜRICH

On the occasion of its autumn meeting of 9 and 10 December 1983, in Zurich, the European Group of Doctors in Free Practice (E.A.N.A.) communicates:

Based on current discussions in Europe on basic training and specialized training, E.A.N.A. maintains that a physician wishing to practice general medicine should receive further training in his subject area in the same field as a specialist doctor in his own specialty.

The E.A.N.A. also argues that the additional training of the General Medicine must be on the same level as that of the medical specialist.
